Just yesterday, one of the memories that Facebook showed me was a picture tagged by my ex-boyfriend on his birthday. It was exactly on his 28th birthday, 5 years ago. I mean, could you even relate how cringey it is to see what's out there on your timeline years ago?!
I suppose he would have cringed so hard if he saw it too, especially now that he's married. 😛
But anyway, I recently got this writer's block situation ever since I came back from Jakarta a few days ago… But then thanks to this reminder Facebook gave me, now I've got an idea what to write here on this post after some time of blogging break.
And since it has something to do with birthday and my past relationship, given the fact I always checked out the zodiac compatibility before going out with someone… I got an idea to talk about something that is not based on science or astrology whatsoever. In fact, I'm not even gonna try to be a know-it-all when it comes to your horoscope.
However, since I've been a serial dater in the past few years… I just realized that the only astrology that I've never dated in a man is Aries. Being an Aquarius girl myself, it's such a great loss since according to horoscope websites that I've checked out, Aries and Aquarius has one of the highest compatibility in terms of relationship.
So, since I'm gonna focus on fellow Aquarius girls as I am one myself, let's start with what the horoscope has to say about us!
Often the witty, clever, humanitarian, inventive and original person that she truly is, an Aquarius girl is also often described as stubborn, unemotional, sarcastic, rebellious and aloof. More often than not, she is loyal and at the same time a tad detached and not overtly expressive in her emotions.
The thing is, one might think that the horoscope is just another bullshit. But whenever I read something about Aquarius traits, I feel like I've been given a mirror to reflect myself because I agree with what they tell me. Pretty much like this one as they mentioned Aquarius girl being stubborn, sarcastic and aloof…
I mean, it'd be ridiculous to find someone who would disagree with the statement. Especially when it comes to people who know me very well.

Aquarius Girl Compatibility with the Other Signs
So, since I'm going to stick with Beau*Beauty*Travel shenanigan on this blog, I decided to write about my dating experience with guys from various signs. I mean, those who are frequent readers of my blog would understand. Those who aren't and start to judge me based on my poor decision could go to hell. 😛

Please note that the guys that I'm gonna talk about on this post, not all of them have been in an exclusive relationship with me. Some were my ex-boyfriends at the time, while some others were only these random guys I went out with for fun or rebound. *lol*
But well, when it comes to going out with a person, I always try to connect with them emotionally in a way that I can understand them as a human being instead of just the next person that I'm gonna fool around with… So I hope, in this post I could write about my experience as fairly as I could.
Also, please keep in mind that my opinion could be a little biased here. 😉
Romantic relationships may be the toughest. An Aquarius woman's need to be unconventional can clash with the Capricorn man's need for stability if the two can't reach an agreement on what their basic lives together should be.
I was in a complicated relationship with a Capricorn Guy until last year. I mean, we weren't exactly together, but we got connected in a way it was slightly more than just a hook-up.
Well, we never really planned out to get romantic towards each other. However, whenever our path crossed somewhere, we always did other things that are more than just having sex. I mean, there was some proper dinner in which one of them was a legit candlelight dinner.
And we always had a lot of things to talk about when we went out. It could be random stuff from work to family. We got even connected through a mutual friend, so it's pretty easy to get along with him. But then we couldn't avoid the huge gap between our state of thinkings.
As basic as it sounds, he's the kind of person who always gets serious everytime. Well, we were friends on Facebook until he deleted me for no reason.
But I could tell that he's the kind of person who would maintain his image in both real life and social media, while here I am using the darkest humor and the most offensive meme to entertain myself.
Aquarius man and Aquarius woman are a good love match because they will understand each other completely. They can have a long-lasting romance and they'll be able to tolerate each other very, very well, but this doesn't necessarily mean theirs will be a deep or passionate romance.
I had a long-term relationship with my ex who happens to also be an Aquarius. Like, he was only 11 days older and we shared so many similarities that it's not a rocket science for us to tolerate things the way we were.
I was dating this Aquarius guy during my college time. It's a long story, because he was actually somewhat my puppy love as I had a huge crush on him back when we were in elementary school. *lol*
During college, we were dating for quite some time and I was even his first kiss since it was kind of hard to steal his heart back in the days… No one could tell who was luckier to get each other in this relationship. HAHA. Seriously, I think my Mom secretly hopes I could be back together with this guy because that's how much she loves this guy! 😛
But then we are both Aquarius, we both are aloof and we were definitely way too young to get into a serious relationship so it fell apart. We understood each other's need to get some space, so back then it wasn't a big deal if we couldn't go out every other weekend. He could focus on what he was into, and so could I.
That's pretty much what kept us together even when he had to relocate to Tokyo. We grew apart, but we never lost respect to each other I suppose.

3. Aquarius Girl + Pisces Guy
What the horoscope has to say about the compatibility of Aquarius Girl and Pisces Guy:

If anything, there was nothing serious about me with this Pisces guy. Everything we did together, it was plainly just for fun. We didn't connect emotionally that deep, but I think we could create something valuable as a good friendship, given a chance.
I mean, we first hooked up during my flying time, not so long after I broke up with my ex. After this, I quit the job and came back home for good. We still occasionally texted each other to talk about random stuff, although mostly about football during World Cup 2014. 😛
Also, this guy was even aware that he was only my rebound when I ended my relationship with my ex. Like, he even listened to me when I had some stuff to rant about my ex so we're good. 😛
4. Aquarius Girl + Aries Guy

Aries is fiery sign and Aquarius is airy. Both supports each other and share friendly axis. This is like complementing the deficiencies of each other.
I don't have a lot to say as I said, I never really got involved with any Aries guy in my life… As long as I remember, I never even had a date with an Aries. Not even just a dinner, so it's hard to tell.
However, I've got plenty Aries friends that I get along with. In fact, my sister is also an Aries and she's pretty much the best traveling partner that I've got so far!
I mean, yes… I heard that Aquarius girl and Aries guy could attract each other spontaneously, but then again I never got into that kind of situation so I couldn't elaborate further.
Both the Taurus and Aquarius are strong individuals with rather fervent ideas of what they want in a partnership, and those ideas clash in many ways! Taurus is somewhat more traditional in views of relationship while Aquarius takes a lighter and friendlier way for being in an association.
If there's any sign that got me traumatic in terms of relationship, that would be a Taurus.
Frankly speaking, Taurus reminds me of my first boyfriend who ended up cheating on me with freaking two other girls during high school. I know at this time I should have just let go, but damn… It's so hard to forgive when you've been hurt! *cringed*
So many differences between us, that if I reflected into the past when I got attracted to him… I think it was the real definition of how opposites attract. To be fair, looking at our upbringings, I suppose no one would think we could attract each other but then we did.
It didn't end up pretty, but then again it was worth a lesson learned… Which includes no more Taurus guys! 😛
6. Aquarius Girl + Gemini Guy

But the Gemini guy that I'm gonna speak of in this post is one of my college mates that I had a fling with for quite some time. It was all started during my 7th semester when he got into this campus election as one of the candidates. He was basically one of the students who got really active in campus events.

It was not until a few years later when I came back home when we got reconnected. I was in Bandung to work for this English school, and he was projected to be a lecturer at my university while doing his Master's degree. Nothing really happened, but we went out a few times and it was great.
I mean, some people who knew us during college times might find it surprising that we actually got along, but we did. HAHA. I mean, he's the kind of person who was always serious because it's no surprise that he's a student who graduated with summa cum laude at the law school. And then there's me, again, someone who got easily happy with a random meme.

7. Aquarius Girl + Cancer Guy
What the horoscope has to say about the compatibility of Aquarius Girl and Cancer Guy:
A match between an Aquarius woman and Cancer man will be a challenge, but not an impossibility. They are a classic clash between a person ruled by his emotions and another ruled by mental and rational thought.
I hooked up with a Cancer man once. From what I heard before, Cancer man would be so sensitive and all that. One of my friends even said that they're actually compatible as her parents are both Aquarius woman and Cancer man.
Well, the Cancer guy that I hooked up with wasn't like that. He wasn't sensitive, and if anything, he's ignorant at its finest. By now, you probably know how much I've been obsessed with Croatia due to their football national team as well as the Balkan guys.
Well, this guy is a Croat and I could definitely say that he's not my cup of tea.
An Aquarius woman is disinterested in emotion by nature. She won't care for too much pampering, and it might just irritate her to no extent. A Leo man, on the other hand, is very giving when it comes to his love interest.
I got into such a dramatic, complicated relationship with a Leo guy last year. A divorced man in the military, so basically settling in is his priority at some point.
Well, at that time he was based in Tokyo (I don't know what's with me and Tokyo, the city seems to bring out of bad luck to me!) and we finally met in person after 1.5 years getting to know each other through OKCupid. Even ever since the first message, we joked around about marrying each other. Now that I think about it, what a stupid joke! *lol*
I know that there's another girl while we talked, so although I was a bit mad when he told me that he chose the other girl, I wasn't surprised. But I think the reason was not only because I was far away (the girl is Japanese), but also because this girl knows how to pour her emotions toward him.
The opposites don't attract us that much, apparently.
Virgo and Aquarius will rarely be attracted to each other enough to start a sexual relationship at all. Their natures find it very hard to support each other, they are both intellectual but in a completely different way, and they will probably ruin any chance of a good sexual relationship by overthinking everything, each of them in their own direction.
Well, I was surprised reading the idea of how it's rare for us both to be attracted to each other because my ex, the Virgo guy, was the first guy that I managed to fool around on the first day we met each other. *guilty*
Before I met him, I was a little way too naive as I didn't believe in the practice of hook-up whatsoever. Looking back, joke's on me nowadays.
But anyway, the hook-up exactly on the first day we met was the start of everything. And I gotta agree in overthinking everything part.
I think at some point, we cared more about what people thought about us than how we make each other feel. We were happy together, but it wasn't enough when our friends didn't like to see us together.
In the end, as you see we've gone separate ways for exactly the same reason.
The emotionally distant nature of Aquarius can take some getting used to, but patient Libra is by far the best person to tackle the challenge. The two are intellectual powerhouses who are always on the lookout for someone who needs assistance and this love for helping others only draws them closer together.
Lately, I'm too lazy to check what's out there in the dating scheme as I've been talking to this Libra guy since earlier this year. We hooked up a couple of times, but I'm not too sure where we are in terms of our relationship. Classic!
I think this is the first time I'm romantically sexually involved with a Libran, so there are some things that I've learned as I get along with this one. When I read the line about the ‘patient' Libra who could tackle the challenge as I'm emotionally distant, I think so far it's true.
Like, sometimes I feel like the conversation between us is too boring so I get too lazy to reply and leave it on read. Guilty as it's charged, but he always puts some effort to bring the conversation back to life. Sometimes he will ask me how my day is, or blatantly ask me some random stuff.
And I appreciate him for that.
11. Aquarius Girl + Scorpio Guy

The Scorpio man's intense feelings are alien to the Aquarius woman, and her cool-handed detachment from her emotions is not something the Scorpio man can – or indeed would want to – understand.
Well, the Scorpio guy that I dated once was indeed a gentleman.
He's the kind of person who would clean my face with a napkin after he cum when I got too sloppy to eat ice cream. He's definitely the kind of guy who would pick you up at the airport, and open the door for you etc.
And based on my own experience with exactly the same guy, he would definitely ghost when he found someone he thought suitable for him. Why? Because it actually happened to me when he suddenly disappeared, only for me to find out that he finally got a Singaporean girlfriend.
Oh, yeah… He's also the kind of person who would actually contact you on your e-mail when he couldn't reach out to you on other platforms. It also happened to me, when I didn't notice his message on Facebook messenger the other day and he legit sent me an e-mail telling me that he dropped me a message on Facebook. Dude, WTF? *lol*
I know it sounds corny, but this could be the match made in heaven, even if the charts themselves don't have any special aspects. The compatibility between Sagittarius man and Aquarius woman is easy-going and carefree, but not without that spark that's needed to keep the romance alive for a long, long time.
Pretty much like what the horoscope says, I really thought my relationship with this Sagittarius guy that I used to date would last. We started out as friends, and we started our relationship when we were mature enough to understand what it's worth. For the love of God, we even survived a long distance relationship for a year before finally reunited with one and another.
He was definitely someone who could be so understanding with all the flaws that I've got, and it was great to feel accepted like that.
But I think he was the right person at the wrong time.
When we were dating, I already worked when he was still a student. We met in Turkey, and that's also where we reunited as a couple a few years later. Things went great until I realized that he actually relied on me for everything during our time together.
That's when I realized that I actually don't need a baby figure to my mommy.
Do I Believe in Astrology?
Well, so far I have so much fun to find out about our compatibility according to our sign whenever I have to go out with a new person.
It's like, I get mentally prepared when things go wrong with any particular sign (hello Taurus!), but then it's not like the astrology stops me from knowing someone better.
