Review Bus from Cambodia to Laos: How to Travel from Siem Reap to Pakse With Asia Van Transfer

I always love road trips!

And ever since I started planning my Indochina trip, I knew that I wanted to use either bus or train to get me from one place to another.

That, until I googled about the bus from Siem Reap to Vientiane that I found out the number of border services from Cambodia to Laos isn’t as many options like those from Cambodia to Vietnam.

After researching the options that I could take from Siem Reap to somewhere in Laos, I decided to make a stopover in Pakse. Honestly, when I decided to do that, it was actually my first time hearing about Pakse, so I barely knew anything about where to go or what to visit there.

However, I figured stopping by Pakse is an excellent way to go if I want to go across the border from Cambodia to Laos by land. I could stay for a night or two, and then continue my trip to Vientiane later. So I did.

Review: Angkor Pearl Hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia

Hi everyone!

After talking about what I did in Siem Reap for a day, it’s time to share my experience staying at Angkor Pearl Hotel the other day!

One thing that I noticed about Siem Reap was that the average hotel rate is relatively higher than in Phnom Penh. If you haven’t recognized my traveling style already, I like my accommodation to be affordable yet comfortable.

I’m in my 30s, so hostels are definitely out of my options. I won’t say I’m so demanding when it comes to the accommodation, but I usually have one thing that is usually on my filter when it comes to searching for my ideal one: the elevator.

One Day in Siem Reap: Angkor Wat and Beyond!

Hi everyone!

I know it’s been a while since the last time I wrote my previous piece on my Indochina tour. I’ve already got “One Day in Siem Reap” for my next post since I published my Oudong article last month, but then life happened.

By life, I meant work stuff as well as some distractions to binge-watch Brooklyn 99. I never watched the series before, but I’ve finished their season 6 now, and I recently started Modern Family. I was already planning to just spend this weekend continuing the series since I’ve got a lot to catch up. Still, then I’m trying to stay away from my procrastinating ass.

Today, I’m going to write about the next place that I visited on my last trip to Indochina: Siem Reap, Cambodia.

I only spent one day traveling to explore Angkor Wat and some other places in Siem Reap. The next day, I spent most of my time strolling around Pub Street and its surrounding, so this time I’m going to focus on what I did around the city for a day. Here we go!

Review: Giant Ibis, the Best Bus Operator in Cambodia

Ever since I started planning my last Indochina trip, I knew that I wanted to travel overland from my first stop in Ho Chi Minh City to when I flew back home from Kuala Lumpur

At first, I didn’t think much about the transportation that I’d opt for my journey. However, since I took the minibus from Ha Tien to Kampot, I figure that maybe the best choice that I could make in terms of transportation would be by bus. It would be more convenient for me since I brought big luggage, and the bus will have a space for it without me feeling guilty that my bag took too much space on the trunk of the car.

So when I left Kampot to Phnom Penh, I decided to just book a bus ticket by Giant Ibis through Bookaway

I initially planned to book a sleeper bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. However, when I was about to book it, the sleeper bus was sold out, so I ended up using the same bus operator again for the road trip in Cambodia.

So, I’m going to share my insights on using their service as the transportation mode in Cambodia. What’s my review on Giant Ibis, possibly one of the best bus operators in the country? Check this out!
