June 2021: What Has Happened to Me So Far in 2021

For those who usually stalk my blog every other day, you probably know that I usually write down my new year’s resolution here and review it every June to see how close I get to my goals or whether I give up yet. LOL.

Last year, I didn’t get a chance to write down my new year’s resolution as I got a bit busy with some other stuff that I couldn’t even think of goals to achieve this year. With the pandemic going, it’s even harder for me to think of something to motivate me for the year. Besides, I already mentioned some wishes I’ve got for the next decade a few years ago. So I guess that counts. LOL.

But this time, June almost ends, and I think it’s only fair to keep myself checked on how my life goes without any resolutions this year. Recently, I’ve made some life changes that I’m not even sure whether it would work well for me. But just like every time, I’m just trying to wing it and hope for the best.

So, what has happened in 2021 so far?!

2020 For Me: The Losses, The Gains, and What’s Left Behind This Weird Year

2020 is almost over, and you know what this post is all about!

In the early 2000s, when I started blogging on LiveJournal (does it still exist?), my first intention was to have a platform to pour my heart out through writing. And that’s what I want to do now, to write something a tad personal. I write this for myself than for any visitors who come across my blog.

As much as I agree that we shouldn’t look back and just move forward to be a better version of ourselves, I always think it’s also important to know what we did in the past and how we can change things to make it better in the future.

So, after writing about how 2020 had been so far back in June, this is the post where I will reflect on the entire 2020 for me now it’s almost over.

This isn’t the year where I should put a lot of pressure on myself for the goals that I set earlier this year in my resolutions. I think it’s fair to say that this year is the year when I should be grateful that I’ve survived this weird year.

The Wishes and the Progress: 2020 So Far, My First 6 Months of the New Decade

Hi everyone!

So in case you didn’t know, in June, I usually reflected on the piece I wrote for my resolution by the end of the previous year. That’s how I like to keep my progress on track. As ambitious as I am, I know that there may be things that I wish I could do that might not be accomplished in the first half of the year. And that’s okay.

Last year, I wrote the resolution that I wish to accomplish throughout this new decade. I was trying to be realistic. Boy, with all the Coronavirus, didn’t I make the right decision not to focus on the resolution for 2020 only?

So, how’s the progress in accomplishing my goals this decade? How far is it from me to achieve it?

2020 New Year’s Resolution: My Goals to Embrace the New Decade

Merry Christmas, everyone! 😀

As you may already know, I don’t really celebrate Christmas. But spiritually, I definitely love the holiday seasons as well as the season’s greeting that always comes up with gifts and cookies. Anyway, since I don’t really follow Christmas tradition as I grew up mostly in a Muslim household… I’ll take some time to write about my new year’s resolution for 2020 instead.

It’s gonna be exciting. New year, a new decade, and some more new place(s) to explore in the future… My new year’s resolution for next year definitely marks my adulting life. Why? Well, let’s see!

How 2019 Has Been Treating Me So Far in Beau-Beauty-Travel Aspect

In case you don’t know… In the past few years, I usually re-read the resolution that I wrote in the previous year to reflect how the progress has been in the mid of the year. The next thing I know, it’s June already and suddenly I’ve done half of the year 2019 already.

I mean, seriously… I’m 30, and still as sassy as I’ve been usually. But hey, life itself has ups and downs so it’s time for me to look back and see what my hope for this year was. Is it aligned to what the reality offers for me? Well, this thing is probably more personal about me rather than something useful for you.

Feel free to skip if you don’t give a fuck about me, but it’s definitely something that I need for me.
