The 5 Best Countries for Retirement

A lot of us envision a life outside of our home country when we finally call time on our working life. After decades of toil and with the kids now all grown up, it makes sense to live out your autumn years in a land you’ve always dreamed of exploring.

When it comes to moving to distant lands to enjoy our retirement, however, it’s not always a case of wishes coming true. Unless money is no object, you have to balance the deep-seated desire with some reality.

What this means is we need to be practical when choosing places to retire because the best doesn’t necessarily equal ideal, especially when factoring in the overall cost of putting down roots.

What You Could Get in Porto for $10 – Must-Visit Places in the City

Back to Europe again for this week’s $10 series! 😀

Today, we’re gonna talk about the city in Portugal where J.K. Rowling used to live. This is the city where the idea of mighty Harry Potter was born from her genius mind. And for those who don’t know what city it is, it is Porto.

Top 9 Active Vacation Destinations

Sometimes, we need a break. A proper break, from our lives and stresses, but also from activity. We need to lie by a pool for hours at a time, sipping cocktails and reading easy books. We need slow walks across the beach and afternoons in the spa. We need time to do as little as possible to recharge our batteries and catch up on our rest.

Sometimes, it’s good to be lazy, to chill out and to give ourselves time to relax and unwind. These kinds of vacations are ideal after a busy period of work, or when you’ve got a lot on your mind, and you need to take some time just to think. You can come home feeling refreshed and ready to get back into things.

But, these kinds of a trip aren’t for everyone all of the time. Sometimes relaxing by the beach all of the time feels like a waste. When you’ve got energy to burn you might want to spend your time being more active. Some people even find it easier to clear their minds when their bodies are moving. They find it easier to think and to sort through their thoughts when they are moving, seeing new sites and enjoying all that the world has to offer.

What You Could Get In Lisbon for $10 – Canned Food is Prestigious!

Hi everyone! 😀

What you could get in the city for $10 is here again, and now my first question would be… What would be the first thing that comes to mind whenever you hear something about Portugal? Is it the basic stuff like Cristiano Ronaldo?

If that’s your answer then shame on you because I was expecting you would be more cultured and say Vasco da Gama. 😛

I mean, come on… Talking about traveling, I think it’s fair to say that Vasco da Gama is the first European to reach India by sea and if you think you’re a wanderlust yet know nothing about him, then I’m so sorry because maybe you’re not really. Haha.

But anyway, yes… In this opportunity, thanks to James from Worldwide Shopping Guide who would love to share with us what we could spend our $10 in the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon. 🙂
