What You Could Get In Angeles City For $10 – Los(t) Angeles

If you had to associate the word Angeles with a city, what would be the first thing that comes in mind?!

You’re not alone if you’ll come with Los Angeles, because that’s gonna be my initial answer too. That, until I got connected to Ruben and Rachel from Gamintraveler for this week’s $10 series. Ruben contacted me to cover Angeles City, and I literally had to google it first, because I don’t know much about the Philippines.

I mean, I’ve only been to the Philippines once, and it was only to Manila.

It’s always exciting to learn a new thing, and from that I found out some fun facts about Angeles City in the Philippines that makes it quite interesting to visit. Not only that is the home of the former Clark Air Base, which was then the largest US military facility outside the US), it was also affected by the fallout caused by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991.

This leads to another interesting thing, because with the presence of the US military base in the city, it also triggered the prostitution industry in the highly urbanized city in the region of Central Luzon. Given the idea, the city is dubbed as the “Sin City”.

But if you’re not interested in exploring that area, worry not… Because now we’re gonna talk about what else you can do with your $10 in the city!

What to Do in Cebu, Philippines

Cebu City, the first ever ASEAN City of Culture and ASEAN Culture Capital, is one of the must-visit places in the ASEAN region. It is found at the center of the archipelagic Philippines, which makes it one of the best places to visit in the Philippines.

So, what treasures await you in your travel to Cebu? Here are some things you should not miss doing in this captivating Cebu!

Around The World With The Beauties! – (Indonesia) Roro Mendut Royal Black Spice V-Scrub & (Philippines) Bare Body Essentials Vanity Mask Double Deep Repair

Hello beauties! 😀

It’s been awhile since the last time I wrote my own piece for Around The World With The Beauties series, so as I got connected with Amanda from Filipinow for this month’s feature… I decided to feature my recommendation as well this time.

A few months ago, I featured some other Filipino and Bruneian local beauty products as they’re both ASEAN country members. Now, well… Both Indonesia and the Philippines are also the country members of ASEAN, but other than that, do you know that we’ve shared so many similarities between the two countries?

First of all, both are archipelagic countries comprising thousands of island in each country. Not to mention that they are also republic countries, with both have elected president as their head of government. Although I just finished the other Pramoedya’s books Child of All Nations and I just found out an interesting fact: Philippines is the first republic country in Asia.

Although I’m not gonna talk about it this time, as we’re gonna focus on the beauty stuff. 😉

How To Travel Smart in ASEAN Countries

As you know, it’s pretty rare to find me writing a post with such a short title like this, but here I am. This time, I want to share some tips about how to travel smart in ASEAN countries because, who’s a better person to tell you if not me, someone who’s a part of the tribes?

And for those who are not familiar with ASEAN, then let me tell you a piece of my knowledge. ASEAN stands for the Association of South East Asian Nation, an intergovernmental organization in this part of the world. And no matter how our people say otherwise, we’re pretty much similar from one and another.

I mean, if we’re so different, then why the heck people looked at me as if I was a trashy Filipino who could barely speak Tagalog in Manila?

Around The World With The Beauties! – (Brunei) Potions & Things’ Elixir Face Oil and (Philippines) Careline Matte Liquid Lipstick

Hello beautravelers! 😀

A little announcement here and there, instead of making Around The World With The Beauties as a weekly feature on my blog, instead I will turn this feature into a monthly feature instead. But no worries, because you still can find some inspiration about local beauty products that you can try next time you travel in some new traveling destination! 😉

Now it’s time to get back to South East Asia region, as I would like to thank Brunei’s Zati to introduce us to Elixir Face Oil from Potions & Things, as well as Philippines’ Surita as she recommends Careline Matte Liquid Lipstick.

As most of you probably know, ASEAN is probably one of the hottest topics in terms of economy. But other than that, ASEAN country members are quite infamous with high-quality beauty products with affordable price. So, let’s check out these two products from two country members of ASEAN! 😀
