Updating Your Travel Blog During Covid-19: Why I Still Update Mine Despite the Travel Ban All Over the World

Lately, I’ve seen a question that has been asked often within travel bloggers community. It is the question about whether or not we should update our travel blog during Covid-19, since we basically can’t travel these days.

Honestly, this kind of question is usually the question that I wouldn’t bother to check the answer. Why? Because the answer is usually more about the responder’s perspective, rather than an exact formula. I personally think that the question shouldn’t be asked to begin with, because after all… It’s your blog. You can do anything you want, as long as you know the risk.

So, even though some fellow bloggers find it frowned upon to still update my blog with travel articles, today I’m going to write about why I decide to still update mine despite all the travel bans.

Here’s why.

The Diary of a Quarantine Queen: My Daily Activity as a Lazy Yet Productive Lady During the Pandemic

Before you read further, just know that this is not the right post if you’re looking for a recipe. In fact, I got an idea to write this post because I figure there must be someone somewhere who’s pretty much like me during this quarantine period. A person with no talent for cooking or baking who isn’t yet interested in Tiktok either.

But heyyyy, just because I never post what I make in the kitchen or show off my dancing talent through my social media, it doesn’t mean that I’m not productive. If anything, I just told my mom that instead of making a baking content to share on Instagram, I’d rather work so that I can order delicious food online.

If there’s one thing I am thankful for this quarantine, I think it’s my situation. I know some people who got laid off during this difficult period, and I’m glad that I’m currently in the position where I can share a little piece of my fortune to those in need these days.

Anyway, in this post I actually want to share my day-to-day life as a lazy person. I can’t for the love of me remember when was the last time I did my exercise, I even told my cousin and my brother that with my lifestyle, I wouldn’t be surprised if one day I’d die from a heart attack.

But if that’s what happens, just know that I don’t regret it because I’m living a happy, productive life.

Blog Trial and Error: What Works and What Doesn’t Throughout My Blogging Journey

Hi everyone!

I figure it’s been a while since the last time I wrote something related to blogging. I just deactivated my Indonesian blog and I’m currently in the mood to talk about my blog trial and error. I’ve been blogging for forever, but I only took blogging seriously (and not for the sake of journaling or ranting) since 3 years ago.

Now that I decided to deactivate my Indonesian blog, it’s obvious that there’s something about it that doesn’t work to my liking. So, here I am writing about the blog trial and error that I’ve done throughout my blogging journey in the past few years.

Besides, during this difficult time in the quarantine, I know some people might run out of the ideas to kill the boredom. Well, you might as well consider starting a blog to spend in your free time. So, what’s up with blogging this time?

5 Phases to Pass When You Suck at Love

So, I spent my quarantine time binge-watching The Mindy Project in the past few weeks. No kidding, I’ve just finished the last episode of its final season. Not to mention that I actually started watching it from the pilot episode. So yes, I have a lot of things to say about it because the ending was kind of disappointing.

Regardless of what I think about the ending, I think about the whole series and it gave me an epiphany to start writing this piece.

I could relate so much to Mindy when it comes to her dating experience. I mean, if you really gotta count how many guys I’ve slept with, you would probably think of me as a slut. Look, I’m not proud of my achievement in that case but if there’s anything I understand, it is probably because I simply suck at love.

I texted my best friend yesterday, I told her that I don’t know how it is to be in a healthy relationship that whenever I am in one, it’s like just a ticking bomb where I count the time until I sabotage it. That’s when I realized that those who suck at love like I do, they could probably relate to these 5 phases they’ve passed throughout their romance life.

At least I have.

A Must-Visit Spot in Ho Chi Minh City: Bitexco Saigon Skydeck & The World of Heineken

It wasn’t my first visit to Ho Chi Minh City, so I didn’t have an exact itinerary this time. I’ve done some of the must-do and must-visit spots in the city from the Water Puppet Show to War Remnants Museum.

So instead, I just tried to wing it when I was there. And that’s when I decided to stop by Bitexco Financial Tower after strolling around District 1 on my first day in the city.

To be fair, I started late at around 1 PM on my first day. And since I didn’t have a fixed itinerary about what I had to do or visit, I decided to just go to some coffee shop and some cafe. Of course, I had ca phe sua da, because ca phe sua da is life in Vietnam. 😛

I wandered around the area until around 3 PM, I decided to just go to Bitexco Financial Tower. Bitexco Saigon Skydeck seems to be one of the places on the must-visit list in Ho Chi Minh City. But if I gotta be honest with you, in the beginning, I wasn’t really interested in visiting the place.

I always thought that it was the kind of place that is overhyped and probably overpriced too. I didn’t even do any research about the entrance fee in advance. I went go-show for this, and I’m glad I did.
