DateHacks: 4 Favorite Dating Apps According to A Serial Dater

*Disclaimer: this post is only based on personal experience. Hence, personal opinion all over.

I am a hopeless romantic who have tried a lot of dating apps throughout my 20s. Honestly, there were times in my life where I downloaded some random dating app just for the sake of boredom. Some led to disappointment, while other actually worked and led to a freaking good date, if not to an effin’ real romance.

Currently, I no longer have any dating app on my phone but then again I had used a few of them to fluently tell you the difference about one among the others. Do I have a sad life? No, not really. That’s why I’m here for you, buddies… To tell you stories. :p

The list of dating apps that I will write on this post is solely based on my experience only, and here I will write the apps that I like the most. But hey, in my defense… Online dating isn’t something you rarely find in this era. So, check this out!

DateHacks: How To Date An Indonesian

I got inspired to write about this last week when suddenly one of my colleagues brought up the subject. He’s a Malaysian guy struggling to find ‘the one’ through dating sites and somehow he always failed. Basically, he brought up the subject as he wanted to find the hole about what he has done wrong.

He went out on several dates, and despite the fact that some of them went well, they always ended up miserably. He made some kind of statistic for the dates he’s been through with the composition of 10% total failure, 40% gold diggers, and half of the chances he got, the dates went well but everything got dry after the date with the girls communicating less and less each day.

Being a guy as he is, he could notice the red flags. But as a human being, he is curious to find out what he has done wrong just so he can try to at least improve it if he gets another chance.

As an Indonesian girl who’s been so long since the last time I dated another Indonesian, I’ve given the perspective as myself. To my surprise, just today I had a lunch date with my old friend. And this event kind of inspired me to write about this even more.

I Put Beau in the Beauty of Travel

This is probably a sole reason why I make beau, beauty, and travel as the concept of my blog. Because I actually put beau in the beauty of travel.

For those who have read my post about my sudden date in Saigon, maybe you understand how I had a good time having this random date with Aaron getting around Ho Chi Minh City while eating banh mi. But Aaron is not the only guy I went out with during my travel.

There are a lot of other guys, although Aaron is probably the most special one as I had a good time with him that involved more meaningful conversation than just slobbering each other’s mouth.

From a classic friend with benefits, almost relationship, no strings attached or flirtationship, no matter how you call it, I think I’m good at it. In fact, I think I’m great being it.

A Sudden Date in Saigon

If you love traveling and you happen to be single, I suggest you to not only use Couchsurfing to find some traveling partner but also to create an account of some online dating site and actually put some time in your itinerary to meet up and have a sudden date.

That’s what I’ve done in Ho Chi Minh City. And it was a blast!

I decided to give the online dating site a try when I landed in Hanoi for some reason: love can be found anytime and anywhere. If the online dating site is the answer, then be it.
