Review: Vietnam Airlines Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City (VN 674)

So, just a couple of hours ago I already wrote this very post for like 1000 words until I clicked save draft, got an error message, only to find out that neither the 1000 words nor the 4 photos I uploaded were saved. It was such a buzzkill, especially since I’m genuinely on the writing mood after weeks of traveling!

For those who follow my blog, you may notice that the last few recent blog posts, most of them are either guest posts or sponsored. But now that I’m back home, I will start updating my blog with my Indochina trip journey. Mind you, this has been a journey full of ups and downs so stay tuned for the update! 😐

And this time, I’m gonna share with you my experience of flying with Vietnam Airlines for the first time. After having a short layover and staying at Bary Inn Hotel close to KLIA, I flew directly from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City with the airlines using VN 674 flight. So, how was my experience?!

Flying Tips: Things You Can Do to Make Sitting Around Kids on a Flight More Bearable

One time, I had a friend asking me for some tips to cure the fear of flight. She thought that since I used to work as a flight attendant, I’d know the answer. Half joking, I told her to sit around kids on the plane so she’d focus more on the anxiety of making them cry or throw a tantrum rather than flying itself.

I mean, I’m not gonna lie… I’m not a fan of the idea to sit around kids on a flight. Even worse if it’s a long-haul flight. I remember during my flying time, I always felt anxious whenever I had family traveling with kids around the aisle. God forbid when it’s an infant.

With that being said, I know some of you won’t be happy about my confession. Especially those who are parents. One time, there was this Indonesian model who got slammed after complaining about a crying baby on board. I casually tweeted about it and said that I was lowkey on her side since I’m not a fan of crying babies on a flight anyway.

That, only to get a DM from my friend who recently got a baby lecturing me about traveling with kids. And even creating this collab post is not without drama, since I had to get into a debate as some fellow blogger said that this post would be offensive for some parents. While this might be true, I understand that you don’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea. And neither do I nor my blog post.

Review: Flying from Kertajati International Airport for the First Time (Is It Worth It?)

It’s amazing how long we all could procrastinate stuff with absolutely no reason at all. I mean, that’s what I’ve been doing since the past couple of weeks: procrastinating to write this post.

Still in the series of my last trip to Dieng and Bali, one of the highlights in my last vacation is that I finally got a chance to fly from the newest airport in West Java for the first time. Yup, after my cousin told us that he was hesitant to come to Bali just 2 days before the beginning of our trip, we just had to have a contingency plan. And that was through flying to Bali from somewhere in Java.

There were several flight options that we could have taken from either Central Java or West Java. However, we ended up booking the ticket from Kertajati International Airport for some reasons.

First of all, as a proud Sundanese, the biggest airport in West Java (and second biggest airport in Indonesia) seems like the best option for us. Not only is it closer to Bandung, but we were also curious on how this airport is.

The infamous airport has been controversial for way too many reasons. So, is it worth flying from Kertajati International Airport?

Review: Malindo Air (A Flight from Kota Kinabalu to Singapore)

Just when I wanted to highly recommend Malindo Air for any flight in Southeast Asia region, I just found out that Malindo has recently changed their policy in terms of free baggage and onboard meals.

So, after my Borneo trip ended, I flew to Singapore with Malindo Air from Kota Kinabalu. And I suppose this was one of the last Malindo flights before they changed the policy. Now that they’ve got a new policy with a few flight options, I’m still going to write a review of my flight anyway.

I’ve also checked the price with each package to compare with my last experience flying with Malindo. So, would I still recommend you to fly with Malindo around ASEAN countries? Here’s the review for this Malindo Air! 🙂

MASWings Review from Miri to Bario: Flying with Twin Otter for the First Time

Hi everyone!

I really overestimated my ability to finish the rest of my Borneo trip series. It’s been almost 4 months ever since I came back, and I only finished up to my Miri journey so far.

But no worries, because sooner or later, I’m committed to sharing everything with you. I hope the complete series of my Borneo trip would be able to help anyone who’s keen to start their journey on the island. One big island, with three different countries that are definitely worth to explore.

And this time, I’m gonna write about my experience to fly with MASWings for the first time. MASWings is the regional community airline which provides services throughout East Malaysia states, Sabah and Sarawak in Borneo.

I flew with them when I departed from Miri, heading to Bario. Not only was it my first time to fly with them, but also it marked the first time I flew with a small aircraft like Twin Otter. And therefore, I’m so keen to share it with you. 🙂
