What You Could Get in Kuala Lumpur for $10 – More Than Just the Twin Tower

If you ask me what city I’m most familiar with in any ASEAN countries, apart from Singapore then I will definitely mention Kuala Lumpur for the next. Ever since I visited the capital city of Malaysia for the first time in 2013, I always stop by the city at least once in every year. It could be for the sole purpose of travel, transit, or even work.

No kidding, back when I was working as a flight attendant, I probably flew to KUL more often than most of my Malaysian colleagues. There were times when I even had a week layover in the city. If you asked me whether I’ve ever given up a room at DoubleTree for a university to a dormitory room in a university, my answer is yes I have.

I left my hotel room unoccupied to a dormitory room at UTM, just so I could have a sleepover with Miza during my long layover in the city.

After quitting my job as a flight attendant, I surprisingly travel more frequently. And whenever I get to choose a transit in either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, more often than not I’d choose the latter. And the city itself will be the one that we cover now. Thanks to Kirsty from World for A Girl who will be sharing her recommendation with us!

What You Could Get in Alexandria, VA for $10 – Strolling Around the Old Town

Whenever I hear ‘Alexandria’, my mind always goes to the city in Egypt. But hey, did you know that there’s also another city with the same name in the United States?

Located in the state of Virginia, I wasn’t really aware of its existence until I got connected to Maria from Call It Adventure for this week’s $10 series.

Yup, she’ll be covering the city that is just south of Washington D.C. So, how could you spend your $10 in the city that is known as the Old Town? Check this one out for details! 🙂

What You Could Get in Tbilisi for $10 – Get Busy in Georgia’s Capital City

Hello everyone, rogor khar?!

In case you’re wondering whether I spoke gibberish at that point, just know that it’s Georgian word for ‘how are you?’. And when I said Georgia, I mean Georgia the tiny country somewhere in Eastern Europe. Yes, not Georgia as in one of the states in the USA.

I’ve got a few good friends from Georgia, as I met them during my summer course almost 10 years ago in Turkey. In case you’re not familiar with the country, go google it now. For those who like football ever since the golden era of AC Milan in early 2000s, you might not know about the country, but you’re probably familiar with Kakha Kaladze.

If you knew his personal story about his late brother Levan, you might also take a bit of concern about the country as well. Just like what I did back then. Otherwise, you might want to know a little more about this country and what it can over for your wanderlust.

This week on What You Could Get In The City for $10, Chris from Worthy Go will share with us how far you could get in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia.

What You Could Get in Chicago for $10 – Anything Less than 10 Dollars in the Windy City

Back when I was a kid, I think long before I knew about New York or any other cities in America, there was one city in the USA that I was most familiar with: Chicago. Yes, the city that we’re going to cover on this week’s $10 series!

Apart from the hype of Space Jam and the popularity of Michael Jordan in his prime, the city was also mentioned in one of my favorite Indonesian comedies. To be fair, if the city wasn’t the first city in America that I got to know by name, I don’t know what possibly would be.

Fast forward to today, one of my best friends actually resides there ever since he decided to leave Indonesia around 10 years ago. And now, thanks to Valentina on Valentina’s Destinations, we’re going to see how far $10 USD is in the most populous city in the state of Illinois.
