What Do You See Yourself in 5 Years?

This is such a typical question that a potential employer may ask in most companies based in Indonesia. Like, it’s so common that I can’t remember a job interview that leaves this question alone.

Speaking of the question, I remember 10 years ago when I turned 20, I made some crappy note on Facebook talking about some expectation that I had in 5 years. Some have turned into reality, when some other let’s just say we got buried it into the ground. 😛

And well, it’s already Aquarius season lately and if there’s anything that you need to know, then it is the fact that I’m counting down the days to the day I turn 30. I figure, maybe I should make a post like 10 years ago: some scrap about how I want to see myself in 5 years.

Why I Never Take Any Blogging Course and Why I Don’t Want My Blog to Hit Success Overnight

A few days ago, one of the members on the blogging communities that I’m in shared the post on Medium that has now been deleted. In case you didn’t know some recent news in blogging communities, it was about this influencer who was accused of scamming through her Instagram course.

It’s been a while since the last time I wrote something about blogging here, so I guess I’ll do it now that it’s a hot trending topic. At least through blogging communities.

No, I’m not going to tell you that all blogging courses are scams. Clearly, because I’ve never taken any course myself.

Instead, I’m going to share with you why I’ve never joined any of the courses out there despite the fact that blogging is one of my main activities right now. Also, why I take it slow when it comes to blogging on my platform.

Some Life Lesson That I’ve Learned in 2018

Time flies so fast that the next thing I know, it’s already December!

I started my 2018 with grief as Disco, my 12-year-old cat, had to go back and forth to the vet due to tuberculosis. He didn’t make it to my 29th birthday as he died on the 24th of January this year.

This year has been up and down, that’s for sure. The first few months in this year was quite challenging for me, with me quitting my office job last year with no sign of constant income whatever. Externally, with me getting older, my peers would expect me to have the life as everyone else: create my own family.
