5 Deal Breakers When We Talk (Despite The Fact That We’re Not Exactly In A Relationship)

So, after a few months thinking that I got my OKCupid account blocked, it turned out I just forgot the e-mail address that I used for the account. Silly me, I know… But now that I found out, I recently get active on the dating site. Again.

Same old, same old. Somebody, please rescue me from this shenanigan! *lol*

But anyway, as I wrote on my profile there, I’m at that point where I’m getting tired of being alone but darn it, I just don’t seem to be able to handle anyone along the way. It’s complicated.

From being a serial dater myself, I decided to write 5 deal breakers when I start to talk with someone, despite the fact that we’re not (yet) in a relationship. I’m writing this, in a hope that my future better half would eventually read it and reflect.

Yeah, good luck with that. πŸ˜›

Some Things I’ve Learned from Being Almost 30 and Still Single

5 years ago, I would have pictured myself being someone’s wife and mother, boy was I wrong!

Last weekend, I went out for a drink with my girls. It was the three of us, and all of us are approaching the age of 30 and we’re all single too. We had a good time together, from going for some grocery to talking some random things about life.

That, until one ofΒ them, burst out the mystery that she has kept for years. It was about the end of her relationship with her long-term partner. She’s the kind of person who could have kept everything for herself forever, so I’m glad that she could open up even though it took years for her to move on and tell us what happened.

But then a wise person would tell you not to cry because it’s over. Instead, smile because it happened. And it’s true.

Please Stay Single If You Can’t Be Open and Honest to Your Partner!

If there’s an event in my life that I wish I could just skip, I suppose that would be the part when I got cheated on. Back when I was in high school. Funny how it’s been years since it happened, yet I still find it hard to forget the feeling of getting betrayed by the person I trusted back in the days.

Fast forward to today, I’m 30 and not as naive as my 15-year-old self. These days, I often think that monogamy is overrated. But still, I think cheating is still unforgivable.

After all, I still think that an ugly truth is still way better than a beautiful lie.

Indonesian vs Singaporean Guys: What It’s Like to Date in This Part of the World When You’re Not A Crazy Rich Asian

Hello, strangers! πŸ˜€

Do you still remember Shi Hui from IreviewUread? Because if you don’t recall the name, then I’d suggest you check on a few collaborations that we’ve done such as on my monthly feature Around The World With The Beauties, as well as the weekly $10 series covering Singapore.

So, in case you don’t know, we went to Kranji Memorial Park together on my last trip to Singapore. We were supposed to create something together, but then again the hot weather in the city-state sort of killed the mood so we ended up doing nothing.

However, we keep in touch and voila, after some packed schedule due to Asian Games for me as well as some ‘experiments’ Shi Hui had with some Singaporean guys to answer the questions that we’ve got, finally the answer is here…

I swear to God it’s a perfect time as it’s finished not so long after Crazy Rich Asian released. We didn’t even know about the movie when we planned out this collab. πŸ˜‰

Shitty Astrology: Zodiac Compatibility for Aquarius Girl (Based on True Story)

Hello, strangers!

Just yesterday, one of the memories that Facebook showed me was a picture tagged by my ex-boyfriend on his birthday. It was exactly on his 28th birthday, 5 years ago. I mean, could you even relate how cringey it is to see what’s out there on your timeline years ago?!

I suppose he would have cringed so hard if he saw it too, especially now that he’s married. πŸ˜›

But anyway, I recently got this writer’s block situation ever since I came back from Jakarta a few days ago… But then thanks to this reminder Facebook gave me, now I’ve got an idea what to write here on this post after some time of blogging break.

And since it has something to do with birthday and my past relationship, given the fact I always checked out the zodiac compatibility before going out with someone… I got an idea to talk about something that is not based on science or astrology whatsoever. In fact, I’m not even gonna try to be a know-it-all when it comes to your horoscope.

However, since I’ve been a serial dater in the past few years… I just realized that the only astrology that I’ve never dated in a man is Aries. Being an Aquarius girl myself, it’s such a great loss since according to horoscope websites that I’ve checked out, Aries and Aquarius has one of the highest compatibility in terms of relationship.
