What I’ve Learned from Long-Distance Relationship: Things that Work and Things that Don’t

I’m not saying I’m an expert at long-distance relationships, but I was in a few relationships where I had to be apart from my (now ex) boyfriend. It’s like, I knew that long-distance relationships would be hard, but damn I fell for the guys who live a thousand miles over and over again.

In my last relationship, we had to do long-distance since my ex is doing his PhD in the Netherlands. A few years before then, I was also in a relationship with someone who lived in Istanbul when I was based in Jeddah.

I know too well it’s challenging, it’s just that… When you know, you know the right person for you. It doesn’t really matter if you end up to be with them forever or they’re just there for lessons.

2020 New Year’s Resolution: My Goals to Embrace the New Decade

Merry Christmas, everyone! đŸ˜€

As you may already know, I don’t really celebrate Christmas. But spiritually, I definitely love the holiday seasons as well as the season’s greeting that always comes up with gifts and cookies. Anyway, since I don’t really follow Christmas tradition as I grew up mostly in a Muslim household… I’ll take some time to write about my new year’s resolution for 2020 instead.

It’s gonna be exciting. New year, a new decade, and some more new place(s) to explore in the future… My new year’s resolution for next year definitely marks my adulting life. Why? Well, let’s see!

10 Years Challenge: This Decade on My Beau, Beauty, and Travel Journey

I just got back from an event in Jakarta when I felt like I lost motivation to do almost everything, including updating my blog. It’s like, not only did I get some kind of writer’s block but I just felt like taking naps every time. It was only this afternoon that the 10 years challenge came across my mind.

I remember that this 10 years challenge was hyped a few months ago on Instagram. Well, I am not really active at the platform, but I figure I could also apply this challenge on my blog instead. After all, the end of 2019 is kind of special since it’s the end of this decade.

While I usually create a post to look back my whole year to match up with the resolution that I made earlier that year, I decide to make something different this time. Instead of looking back to 2019 only, why not trying to flashback and see my personal growth within this decade?!

No kidding, I even scrolled down my Facebook gallery to find some pics I took within the decade. I’ve been through a lot, and even just by looking at my Facebook gallery, I know that I’ve grown far from the bubbly 20-years-old I was 10 years ago.

A Romantic Vacation: Planning and Enjoyment Tips

There are a few things in life that we all know as universally good. You might consider them to be a ‘treat’, a happy little allowance we give ourselves to make life worth living. It might be dancing to our favorite music, indulging in a little dessert after a meal, or sometimes heading on a romantic getaway with someone we truly love.

A romantic vacation is something that can help two people truly bond, have fun, and find more about one another. It can often be the moment where two people begin to truly express their deep feelings towards one another, such as confirming their love.

That means that while this is a treat for both of you, this kind of sincerity can feel a little nerve-wracking, particularly because you want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

7 Breakup Songs That You’d Probably Need to Listen Right Now

I’ve got a confession to make today: I’m back to the single world again. I recently broke up, it was around last week when we decided to part our ways for our own good. No drama whatsoever, I guess at this point it was our decision as two adults who just happened to be together for a few months. At some point, we realized that maybe it wasn’t a good idea that way. So we liberated each other through a breakup.

Pretty much like many other breakups, it wasn’t pretty either. There was some disappointment along the way, the thought of so many what ifs. But I think one of the good things about dating in our 30s is that we know when we need to take separate ways, it’s only for the betterment of one and the other.

I didn’t even cry when we eventually decided to end our relationship. As I said, this is probably the best for us. But hey, still it doesn’t stop me from listening to some breakup songs to pour my emotion.

Because of this, I decided to make a playlist of some breakup songs that might be useful for you. Especially for those of you who probably need to listen to some of them. Not to make the condition even worse, just to ensure yourself that everything is going to be alright.

It is, even though it sucks right now.
