As I Stayed at I Stay Hotel in JB…

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Unlike other cities in Malaysia, I suppose Johor Bahru is not exactly the traveler’s option to visit like Penang, Langkawi or generic Kuala Lumpur because to tell you the truth, there’s nothing much to see in Johor Bahru, or typically shortened as JB.

Most people would probably choose JB only for a transit as the city connects the rest of Malaysia to good ol’ Singapore. Other than that, nowadays you can also visit Legoland or Hello Kitty Town, but then again people rarely make JB their main destination when it comes to traveling.

I was almost relocated to JB for my previous job only to find out that the location of my office is not so far from Legoland, which is practically out of nowhere. But FYI, Legoland is fairly far from the downtown so it’s only normal if you find it hard to get Uber or GrabCar at after office hour.

Therefore, in my last visit to JB, I chose to stay in the downtown as per my friend’s suggestion. As the hotel options in JB can be considered as more expensive than those in KL, I’ve chosen the one that is most suitable for my budget: I Stay Hotel.

Easy Road Trip From Malaysia To Singapore Through EasyBook.Com

Reading Time: 7 minutes

I’m a big fan of road trip!

Honestly, if I had so much time to travel, I’d choose road trip over flights anytime. I mean, I always get amazed with the scenery I see during my road trip while I can only see clouds on the flight when I open the window blind. Not to mention that road trip packing list could be less hassle than any flights.

So when I decided to visit Malaysia and Singapore recently, I didn’t hesitate to ensure my brother that we were gonna have a road trip from Malaysia to Singapore by bus as it’s the easiest and cheapest way to travel back and forth.

For my trip this time, I didn’t even try to check any information on the internet because I believe things would be easier nowadays. The last time I had a road trip in Malaysia, it was in 2013, then my sister and I managed to have a nice trip so I suppose with easier technology and so many startups here and there, the road trip this time would be even a whole lot easier and I was right!

The first day in KL, I told my brother that it would be better for us to book a bus ticket for the next day so we could arrange what time we should leave to TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, bus station in Kuala Lumpur). What I did was just googling the bus ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka and the next thing I knew, I booked the ticket through easybook.com!

The First Date That Led Me To Another First (Also Some Tips To Ease A Blind Date)

Reading Time: 4 minutes

I just came back from my recent trip to Malaysia and Singapore, and I’ve come back happily as on this trip, I just got yet another first thing that I’ve done in life.

I mean, sure… There’s always a first time for everything. But I think it’s important to actually explore things rather than just to wonder the what ifs. And for that, I’m quite glad that I’ve got this adventurous soul that opens more chances for me to the idea of something new each day.

I mean, that’s why I’m keeping this to-do-list, so I could remind myself that I need to try as many new things as I can to avoid more regrets in life. So when someone from OKC asked me out when I was in KL, I said yes.

He’s a fine guy. A psychologist who’s running his start-up business, so the fact that we’re both entrepreneurs kind of helps us to hit it off. And the fact that he’s hot… I just couldn’t say no to this invitation.
