- Are you a beauty product enthusiast planning to visit Indonesia? Don’t miss the local cosmetics because there are plenty of products that are worth every penny!
- As much as I love Indonesian beauty products, I gotta say that some products are not for everybody.
- So, which Indonesian lip cream product that you’re interested to try? 😉
It’s been awhile since the last time I actually wrote something about a beauty product in particular.
I mean, it’s obvious that beauty is not the only thing you need to write something about it. In this social media era, you need to excel the art of taking a good flat lay whatsoever. And obviously, I’m quite bad at it. 😛
Anyway, just recently I got some guilty pleasure that some of you probably know: lip cream. Okay, so anything related to lips from lipstick to lip cream
or even lip on lip as in kissing and making out, those are my favorite!
Why? Because it gives my resting bitch face a glow. I feel pretty when my lips are in color, and I love how it makes me feel. Apart from that, it makes me feel like a million dollar, no matter how cheap you think I am! 😀
So this time, I’m going to share with you the two treasures that I have recently found: QL Lipcream Matte and Dear Me Lip Creame.
Why are they treasures to me? Because I spent less than $10 for each product, yet they make me look like Audrey Hepburn!
Or maybe not.

The perks of being Indonesian living in Indonesia is that our living cost is low compared to some other countries that all of our daily needs, from groceries to makeup are so affordable compared to others.
Plus, there are so many local brands that stand out among others. Indomie, anyone? 😛
Okay, maybe not Indomie… But one of them is in cosmetic sections.
Like, when yall are busy looking into Sephora spending hundreds of dollar for lipstick, I could just try to find something as good with 10 times lower price in the local brand. Honestly, I usually find the alternative in the local product so I win. 🙂
Among many, matte lip cream is probably something on the most wanted list when it comes to cosmetics. And what’s better than getting something so good with less than $8?!
And that, my friends, is how I will introduce you to QL Lipcream Matte and Dear Me Lip Creame! 😀
QL Lipcream Matte: Nudy Classic and Apple Berry
The main reason why I wanted to buy this product was simply that the price is crazy cheap!
I’ve checked the review of their products and almost all reviews that I could find on the internet got positive feedback so I just know that I have to try the product by myself. And that’s what I did, and I am so happy that I did! 😀
As they’ve got so many color options, I chose two that represent the nude and the bold color shade. As for the nude shade, I picked the #24 color, which is Nudy Classic while for the bold one I decided to have the #28, the Apple Berry.
IDR 36,000 (around $3)
I love everything about the products!
I mean, needless to say that just like most of Indonesians, I’m a total price-sensitive that the cheaper I could get for an item, the happier I would be. And this is the case of it being so true. 😀
The Nude Classic is a typical nude color that might only work with some skin colors, however the Apple Berry is something that I’m falling into! It’s so beautiful that even I was so surprised with the outcome.
I think as for the Apple Berry, it could work with any skin color. Like, it’s probably the shade of lipstick that goes for everyone who’s into bold colors. It’s really worth to try this one, like it’s not even $5, you won’t be that disappointed even if the color doesn’t match your preference or anything! 🙂
The only problem that I have encountered with this product is that it is transferred throughout everything. Your glass, your bread, your partner’s lips. For the latter, I actually used the Apple Berry when I made out with one of my fuck buddies… And boy, did he look like he just ate a baby! 😛
Also, the fact that their texture is so liquidy that it’s a bit difficult to apply, although still manageable. Above everything though, it is one of the most long-lasting lipsticks that I’ve ever tried… Especially the Apple Berry. Probably it’s because of the bold color shade, but I’m totally impressed with this one! 😀
Dear Me Lip Creame: Dear Anna and Dear Leya
If the price is the reason why I wanted to try QL, the reason that made me purchase this Dear Me was that I’ve read so many blog posts about this brand. And the packaging is so cute that the cap has polkadot!! 😀
It’s pretty shallow, but then again I’m not that high-maintenance and sadly I’m so easy to please so yeah…
Like so many brands that have lip cream as their products, Dear Me Lip Creame has also got so many shades you could choose, although most of them are nude-ish that basically, you could choose one or another.
However, I should praise their marketing team as they describe each shade based on the personality of women who will be suitable to wear them. Because that’s how I chose the two shades that I ended buying: Dear Anna and Dear Leya.
Dear Anna: Dear Beauties, How long are you going to keep staring at him? You can do it, don’t be shy. Together with me, we are gonna win his heart. Lets go girlfriend! Xoxo. Anna.
Dear Leya: Dear Beauties, Is it weird to say that I love travelling? I love the smell of new city, let my mind wander and wonder. Eating and trying different stuffs. What troubles can life bring to me seriously? Xoxo, Leya.
Okay, so after reading the details of description, I gotta say that I’m more Leya than Anna, but Anna is my best friend’s name so I think it’s still a win! 😉
IDR 89,900 (around $7)
The packaging is just okay now that I’ve actually tried the product, because honestly it’s so astonishing! 🙂
First of all, the shade that I’ve chosen, both Dear Anna and Dear Leya are something that may look good in literally everyone, in every shade of skin color. Not only that, it smells so nice that it reminisces me a bit of Wall’s Vienetta ice cream. I love it!
While Dear Anna is more like a mauve pink kind of nude, Dear Leya is a bit into orange-ish. I’m not too sure which one I prefer to another, as the colors are kind of neutral that I simply like them both the same.
The texture is creamy and so easy to apply. Honestly, I only need one tap to cover my lips… But then again, I’ve got such a pair of tiny lips. 🙂
If anything that I feel this product lack of, it’s the longevity as it wasn’t really a long-lasting lipstick for me. But then again I could be wrong since I love to eat and it’s so hard to get one lipstick to stay on my lips for long. Bummer.
As much as I love Indonesian beauty products, I gotta say that some products are not for everybody.
I mean, I know that a lot of people out there are concerned about beauty products being paraben-free, vegan, or any particular condition. See, as for that, I’m not too sure. There are a lot of brands that declare they’re animal-cruelty free but whether they’re 100% vegan, I think it’s safe to say to avoid using the product if you’re a strict vegan.
However, if you’re pretty much like me, who can use anything as long as it doesn’t hurt any bunny, then these ones are worth for you to try next time you come to Indonesia. 😀
If you’re interested to get some for you to try, you can even buy it online on Tokopedia so the products can be shipped to your hotel address. 🙂
